CMA Standard Price List

From 16th September 2021, all funeral directors in the UK are legally required to display and have available to download, the following standardised price list.

CREMATION PACKAGES

  • Direct Cremation (inclusive of Borders Crematorium fees) £2025.00

An unattended cremation with no family or mourners present. 

  • Funeral Director services, completion of all documents and liaison with all third parties.  
  • Advice support and guidance 24 hours a day.  
  • Transferring of the deceased to our funeral home.   
  • Care and preparation of deceased prior to funeral.   
  • Basic coffin 
  • Transportation of the Coffin to Borders Crematorium 
  • Direct Cremation Plus (inclusive of Borders Crematorium fees) £2225.00

A service within the funeral home followed by an unattended cremation 

  • Funeral Director services, completion of all documents and liaison with all third parties.  
  • Advice support and guidance 24 hours a day.  
  • Transferring of the deceased to our funeral home.   
  • Care and preparation of deceased prior to funeral.   
  • Basic coffin 
  • Transportation of the Coffin to Borders Crematorium 
  • Service held in the Oak Leaf Service Room 
  • Early Cremation Service (inclusive of Borders Crematorium fees) £2850.00

Early Service at Borders Crematorium – 20 minute chapel service at 9.00am & 9.30am 

  • Funeral Director services, completion of all documents and liaison with all third parties.  
  • Advice support and guidance 24 hours a day.  
  • Transferring of the deceased to our funeral home.   
  • Care and preparation of deceased prior to funeral.   
  • Basic Oak Veneered coffin 
  • Transportation of the Coffin to Borders Crematorium 
  • Traditional Cremation (inclusive of Borders Crematorium fees) £3625.00

This is a funeral where family and friends have a ceremony, event or service for the deceased person at the same time as they attend their cremation. 

  • Funeral Director services, completion of all documents and liaison with all third parties.  
  • Advice support and guidance 24 hours a day.  
  • Transferring of the deceased to our funeral home.  
  • Visiting the deceased, any time, day or night 
  • Transportation of the deceased to Borders Crematorium 
  • Traditional Oak coffin 

 

Border Crematorium Fees (fees paid on your behalf)
  • Direct Cremation £525.00
  • Early Cremation Service £825.00
  • Traditional Cremation £1085.00

BURIAL PACKAGE

  • Traditional Burial (excluding burial fees) £2540.00

This is a funeral where family and friends have a ceremony, event or service for the deceased person at the same time as they attend their burial. 

  • Funeral Director services, completion of all documents and liaison with all third parties.  
  • Advice support and guidance 24 hours a day.  
  • Transferring of the deceased to our funeral home.  
  • Visiting the deceased, any time, day or night 
  • Transportation of the deceased to the local cemetery 
  • Traditional oak coffin 
Scottish Borders Council Fees (fees paid on your behalf)

  • Lair Purchase £1227.80
  • Interment Fee £877.00
Additional Funeral Director Products and Services

The funeral director may be able to supply a range of optional, additional products and services, or to arrange (on your behalf) for a third party to supply them. 

  • Limousine – up to seven passengers £275.00
  • Estate Car – up to 4 passengers £175.00
  • Celebrant, Humanist etc. £200.00 - £225.00
  • Order of Service POA
  • Large Scatter Tube £30.00
  • Ashes Caskets (from) £65.00
  • Coffin’s (from) £385.00
Help with the cost

Anyone in Scotland can get help with the cost of a simple funeral if they do not have enough money to pay the full cost. To qualify you must be receiving one of these benefits:  Universal Credits (UC), Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Income related Employment and Support Allowance, Pension Credit, Housing Benefit, Child Tax Credit (CTC) and disability or severe disability element of Working Tax Credit.
