DEPOSITS

We require a non-refundable deposit to be paid which is the total amount of third-party costs to date following the arrangement. We kindly request that this payment is made 3 working days prior to the funeral to allow arrangements to proceed.  Non-payment of the deposit will mean all arrangements are cancelled and Termination Terms will apply. Where a fully paid Funeral Pre-payment Plan is in place, no deposit is required. Where a ‘direct no-service’ cremation is instructed payment of the invoice in full is required before the service will proceed.

PAYMENT

We aim to send out the funeral invoice 7-10 days after the funeral unless advised differently, and if wished, we can forward the funeral invoice to a solicitor. Payment will be appreciated within 30 days, however, we will be flexible if the invoice has been forwarded to a solicitor and the nominated solicitor gives a written guarantee that funds are available to settle the funeral invoice.

INTEREST

We reserve the right to add interest to outstanding invoices at a rate of 4% above the Bank base rate if the invoice has remained unpaid for 60 days or more. Interest will be calculated (on a daily basis) from the date of our account until payment and compounded on the first day of each month. should you breach these Terms of Payment, we reserve the right to recover any legal action/debt collector’s costs incurred.

RIGHT TO CANCEL

You have right to cancel the contract if you wish. This right can be exercised by sending or handing in a cancellation notice to the funeral director at any time within the period of 14 days from the arrangement day. The right to cancel can be lost during the cancellation period if the service is provided in full before 14 days elapses.

If any disbursements have been paid by us within these 14 days, we will request payment for those services.

If you wish to cancel the contract you must inform us in writing within 14 days. 

DISCLOSURE OF INTERESTS

The ultimate owner of this business is: Ms Zoe Turnbull.   We have no business or financial interest in a price comparison website which compares Funeral Director Services and/or Crematoria Services and their respective prices.  Zoe Turnbull Funeral Directors has not made any material charitable donation, charitable contribution or payment of a gratuity to a third-party connected to the funeral sector
